re: "Daily Meal for Dogs"
There is some confusion over what the cooked finished batch (the recipe) will yield in terms of the number of CUPS.
(A) NOTE: It appears that there is to be only 2 cups yielded since the final note says to give 1 cup in the morning and 1 cup in the evening (for the total daily feeding to a 20lb dog). However, the rice being already cooked is already 2 cups in volume to which the vegetables and meat/poultry will be added. Won't that yield MORE THAN 2 CUPS total?
(B) NOTE: the instructions say to use 2 cups of cooked rice + 1 cup of vegetables (additional QUESTIONS: chopped or pureed? cooked or not? to yield how much after cooked? will the vegetables yield 1 cup raw or 1 cup cooked and in what shape?) + 1/3 pound of beef/chicken (additional QUESTION: raw or cooked?)

OTHER QUERIES:
(i) would powdered fresh cooked egg shells be a good substitute for the TUMS?
(ii) if plain unsweetened yogurt is an appropriate substitute for the probiotic capsule, how much yogurt is equivalent to what the probiotic capsule would contain?

THANK YOU FOR POSTING THE sample MEAL, though,it's good to have a starting point--for both Q&A opportunities and for figuring out what is really good for our furry loved ones!

Hello,
The sample diet for cats that you gave, does not indicate how long to cook it for. Also for the sample diet for dogs... is the chicken or beef already cooked? Because it does not indicate putting it in a pot to cook. Thank you much.

Hi Dr. Andrew,

Yessssssssssssssssssssssss, I think you should absolutely do it. You'd be helping a tonne of people like myself that care about their pets. I've learned so much and I'm sure the people that are interest in doing better as a pet owner would watch and learn. Wishing YOU the best of success.

Best Wishes

Yes, I think it would be great! So many people like myself, want to do a good job for our pets in keeping them healthy but just can't afford vet visits and don't want to over expose them to more shots thsn they need. So I think it would be a great service to all.
