A happy Monday to you and your pets…

This is what I was taught about Nutrition in Veterinary School:

.

I learned NOTHING.

Yet the single most important secret to maintaining health and preventing disease is…

NUTRITION.

We were given no formal classes on dog and cat nutrition.

We were told to tell our clients to feed a name brand ‘Good Quality” dry food, such as Science Diet or Iams.

The ‘funny’ thing is that Hills, which makes Science Diet, and the Iams Company both sponsored events at our Veterinary School.

We had student Hills and Iams Representatives.

It was all about the “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” mentality.

We were taught that it is difficult to make balanced dog and cat food – and that you should never advocate things like making food at home, or feed …Raw Food.

SO what should you do?

Well if you are to feed a dry kibble, go here and get my advised Pet Food List:

P.S. The Dog and Cat Food industry is a 15 Billion Dollar HUGE money generating Super Business that keeps adding new ‘specialty’ lines to generate even MORE cash.

And as PROFIT is the Bottom Line, Who can you believe, Michael?

I mean EVERY company says that their food is THE BEST..The SAFEST..the MOST NUTRITIOUS.

Well.. the more I have read and studied the Pet Food Industry, the more SKEPTICAL I have
become.

1. Take what is said with a grain of salt.

2. Feed a brand from my Advised Pet Food List.

3. Rotate brands – DON’T just stick with one company.

4. Use some of my Home Diets – I now have OVER 20 to choose from.

5. Try out Raw food… I have detailed steps on HOW to do it here:
