I have been swamped with email, and so I thought I should address one very common
question.
How do I know when it is safe to treat my pet at home or when to go to the Vet?
First you don’t need my Home Study Course do do this- although it will sure help.
You can download for Fr**ee My At Home Pet Health Exam- You receive it when you sign up for
my newsletter.
Study the basics of the Course and become comfortable examining your pet at home. Do this
weekly at home.
You will get to know what is normal.
Then when you pet is acting “off” you can perform an exam and determine exactly what body
system is affected.
You’ll at least need my ebook to go through the index, and then decide which disease is
affecting your pet.
In the write up of the illnesses, I give specific indicators to help you decide whether
it is safe to treat your pet at home, or if you should take your pet to your veterinarian.
But, you can’t expect to become proficient in this overnight. You’ve got to practice, and take
small steps. It’s kind of like walking and a child..first you roll. then crawl, then walk.
So practice.
And if your not sure about treating your pet for a specific illness, then bring your
dog or cat to your veterinarian.
After they perform the exam, and make a diagnosis, question the specific treatments.
Why are they choosing that antibiotic?
What are the side effects?
What is the dose?
Can you use a safer antibiotic at a lower dose?
It all comes down to you becoming an empowered pet owner who just doesn’t blindly
follow ” The Veterinarian”
