Re: Are pet supplements really necessary?

Good morning fellow readers – welcome to Tuesday.

Yesterday was a holiday here in Canada, Thanksgiving, so I slept in after a BIG turkey feast…

Today is going to be ESPECIALLY busy at the clinic – all the weekend emergencies will come flooding in.

There will be lacerations, abscesses, vomiting/diarrhea, and many ADR’s…

…that was a big Vet School Diagnosis – it stands for “Ain’t Doing Right” 🙂

Many clients will ASK:

Could I do something to PREVENT this from happening again?

Well that of course depends upon the specific problem.

BUT that does lead me in to some of the more common questions I am getting about my supplement: Dr Jones’ Ultimate Canine Health Formula.

1. IS it necessary?

Is it necessary for your dog to be on a Complete Quality Dog Supplement?

BUT… do I think that it can help PREVENT many of the more common dog diseases?

I will see a few cases of vomiting/diarrhea today.

Many dogs have especially sensitive stomachs. Any slight change in their diets will lead to vomiting or diarrhea.

YET what is the SINGLE most effective remedy to PREVENT vomiting and diarrhea?

Here is what is EXACTLY in my supplement:

Lactobacillus acidophilus (150 million CFU), Bifidobacterium bifidum (150 million CFU), Fructooligosaccharides

* Helps to maintain healthy digestive system by maintaining balance between harmful and beneficial bacteria in the gut

* Probiotics (Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium) reduce risk of diarrhea, shorten duration of acute diarrhea and reduce risk of antibiotic associated intestinal symptoms

* Lactobacillus has been shown to enhance immune system and prevent risk of allergies

* Fructooligosaccharides – considered prebiotics: provide the right environment in the intestines to allow growth of healthy bacteria

Then there will be the cases of dogs that are ill in some way, such as Kennel Cough.

We recently had an outbreak.

It produces sudden coughing, and in most dogs they cough so much that they then vomit/regurgitate.

Many, many clients have Asked EXACTLY what they could do to boost the immune system and PREVENT Kennel Cough?

There are a number of specific ingredients that I advise clients to utilize to boost the immune system:

– Essential Fatty Acids

– Probiotics

– Bovine Colostrum

– Immune boosting mushrooms

– Lysine (an amino acid that is used for it’s superior anti-viral activity)

Here is what is in my supplement to boost your dog’s immune system:

Includes: Bovine Colostrum, Inositol hexaphosphate, Aloe Vera, Maiitake PLUS L-lysine, Essential Fatty Acids, and Probiotics (Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium)

Bovine Colostrum

* Powerful, nutrient-rich “mother’s first milk”
* Over 37 potent immune factors found in Colostrum

* Plays an important role maintaining cell membranes
* Shown effectiveness in helping to prevent cancer

Aloe Vera

* Benefits are huge; shown helpful with common infectious diseases
* Ingredients are anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-pruritic (anti-itch) and offer some pain relief
* Increases blood flow to injured areas, stimulating healing and recovery

Maiitake Mushroom

* Key immuno-protective mushroom
* Cancer-fighting
* Evidence confirming maitake’s therapeutic value impressive
* Laboratory studies have shown that maitake can block growth of cancer tumors and boost the immune function

* Effective in inhibiting viral diseases.

Flaxseed oil: Omega-3 Fatty Acids

* EFAs cannot be manufactured from other nutrients – must be obtained from diet
* Most canine diets are rich in Omega-6 (from animal protein) but low in Omega-3
* Flaxseed Oil is an excellent source of Omega-3, providing high levels of this Critical EFA

2. Will it work?

My short answer…..

It will WORK for Vomiting and Diarrhea

My supplement will help PREVENT many common dog health problems such as vomiting/diarrhea.

The prebiotics ( Fructo-oligosaccarides) and probiotics (Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium) reduce risk of diarrhea, shorten duration of acute diarrhea and reduce risk of antibiotic associated intestinal symptoms.

My Formula will BOOST your dog’s IMMUNE SYSTEM

My immune enhancing components will boost your dog’s immune system and HELP prevent common dog diseases, such as Kennel Cough.

Bovine colostrum has 37 potent immune factors.

Maitake and Aloe and Essential Fatty Acids have scientific studies backing their effectiveness on enhancing immune function.

These ingredients will TREAT arthritis

My Joint Support Blend of Glucosamine HCl, Chondroitin Sulfate and MSM (methylsulfonyl methane) are the Top 3 ingredients in halting arthritis progression.

These have millions of client testimonials PLUS scientific studies to back up their claims:

* Increases the amount of cartilage
* Recent studies have shown it has anti-inflammatory properties
* Glucosamine Hydrochloride is the most bio-effective form

Allergies? Then you need this in your dog’s diet

Flaxseed oil: Omega-3 Fatty Acids

* Most canine diets are rich in Omega-6 (from animal protein) but low in Omega-3
* Veterinarians prescribe EFAs for pets with allergic dermatitis, dry skin and dull hair
* EFAs are necessary for overall health
* Flaxseed Oil is an excellent source of Omega-3, providing high levels of this Critical EFA

P.S. The SINGLE biggest reason I think that your dog should be on a QUALITY supplement is that you CAN’T get all the essential nutrients that your dog needs from Commercial Food.

Heating and processing destroys essential nutrients. My supplement isn’t cooked.

Many food ingredients are outsourced – from countries such as China. Companies are so big that they CAN’T perform quality control on every batch of food.

My supplement contains ingredients ONLY from North America – and every batch is thoroughly 3rd part tested. ALL ingredients are safe, and my supplement contains NO TOXINS.

Dr Jones’ Ultimate Canine Heath Formula ALSO contains 25 ESSENTIAL Vitamins and Minerals… It really is COMPLETE – and it WORKS.

P.P.S. I will be having a Special Online Seminar on Dog Supplements next week – look for an announcement soon.

It’s Your Pet. Heal Them At Home!

Best Wishes,
