Toothpaste for Dogs: DIY and Natural

By Dr. Andrew Jones

Dr. Jones shows you HOW to make your own safe and organic toothpaste at home. A holistic remedy for gingivitis in dogs and cats. How to properly brush your dogs’ teeth:

Non-organic toothpaste has many questionable ingredients, so Dr. Jones is showing you a natural toothpaste recipe:

4Tbsp Baking Soda

4Tbsp Liquid Coconut Oil

2 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil

Mix into a paste, and take a extra soft toothbrush and a pea-sized amount of the paste on to the brush. Use a back and forth motion on your pets teeth and gum line. Aim for a minute (30 seconds on each side) of brushing, daily.

As an addition, Propolis has many studies has shown to reduce gingivitis  and can be used to spray on pets teeth after brushing for added protection.
